It's been a while since out last voyage around the island, so since it wasn't raining, we decided to kayak another section of our quest. Is it possible to be sweating while getting frost bite? We were going against the tide and against the wind, which made for a good work out. However, it made the frost bite on our toes less noticeable so that when we were done, we could barely walk back to the cars. It literally took 2 hours before my toes and bottoms of my feet stopped tingling - and that's after a HOT shower, wriggling my toes, wool socks, and walking around. Next time, I'm definitely putting hand warmers in my boots.

Superman!
We were asked to chaperone the youth stake dance and they said we could dress up like superheros. Did you think for a second that I would actually say no to dressing up or dancing? Put them together and that's living! One might say that we went a bit over the top, but I totally disagree - you can never be too dressed up!
Izaac's prayer
Izaac's new prayer lately is, "bless the bad guys to get lost and bless the good robots but not the bad ones and bless the bad guys to die". We've tried to redirect the dying comment, but we're OK with the bad guys getting lost.
Who has the coolest parents in the world?
Semi-Annual GNO (Girls Night Out)
I'm positive that by now the staff at Olive Garden fear when the group of us walk in. We get there as early as allowable with family responsibilities, and won't leave until they have gone through the polite 'can I get you guys anything else routine' about 7 times. Finally, when they outright ask us to leave, we start wrapping things up. Definitely one of the highlights of my trips home.
I would NEVER.....
I would NEVER! OK, so I might. Somebody has to teach my nieces and nephews how to properly toilet paper someone's house. Unfortunately, they didn't quite grasp the concept because they wanted to toilet paper Grandma and Grandpa's house too, which is where we were having our sleep over party. Needless to say, we all ended up cleaning up our own mess the next morning. Where's the fun in that? Chandler came prepared for the night of mischief packing as much toilet paper as he could into his duffle bag. We had such a good time. I love being an aunt to such cool nieces and nephews. Hmmmm, what can I teach them on my next visit home?
